Can you really cook an authentic, full-flavour Chili Con Carne in 10 mins? You bet! Just follow my easy steps, your family and friends will think you've been cooking for hours!  

SERVINGS  •  6
beef mince, ground, extra lean500 g
onion, brown, fresh, chopped1
chillies, red, fresh, finely chopped2 tbsp
taco seasoning, salt-reduced 1/2 pkt
diced tomatoes, canned400 g
kidney beans, canned400 g
corn kernels, canned 1/2 cup
coriander leaves, fresh, chopped 1/3 cup
taco sauce325 mls
canola oil cooking spray
cracked pepper to season

  1. Heat frying pan and spray with oil. Add mince, onion, chilies and sprinkle with 2 tbsp of the taco seasoning. Cook until meat has browned. Add tomatoes, kidney beans and juice, corn and coriander.

  2. Pour taco sauce over chili mixture and stir in the rest of the taco seasoning. Cover and cook on medium heat for 5 minutes. Stir frequently. Add cracked pepper and serve immediately with a salad.

  3. TCB Tips:

    - To warm things up, add jalapeños or 1 tsp of dried chili flakes.
